Ruti-Peittopuru

Ruti-Peittopuru is a domestic and environmentally friendly product developed in cooperation with Finnish nurseries for the needs of seedling cultivation. The product is made from 100 per cent domestic PEFC-certified pine, and its aim is to improve the growing conditions of seedlings in a natural and ecological way. The covering mulch helps to keep seeds in place in the growing medium and protects them from excessive heat and moisture evaporation. At the same time, it retains heat and moisture especially in dry and cold conditions, which supports the steady growth of the seedlings.

Ruti topping mulch also reduces the growth of moss and weeds in plugs and prevents the growing medium from silting up. The product's natural properties make it a non-toxic and antiseptic option for seedling cultivation. After use, the topping mulch degrades naturally into the environment, making it an eco-friendly option compared to many synthetic mulching materials.
